The fruit market in "koyambedu" chennai....amazing place to do portraits :)....the best thing about this picture is the genuine smile...he was really amazed was to why would some body would want to take HIS photograph...."munji nalla illa sir, inna photo edukaringa" what that means is my face is not good why are you taking a pic of mine...he was incredibly spirited...the whole koyambedu complex is some sort of an enigma...there are narrow streets of every fruit in this world...small alleys where fruits are stuffed and sold...every shopkeeper's apple is better than the others...and i love the canopies they put up for the summer heat in Chennai....the amount of trash that comes out is phenomenal...the smell of decayed fruit and fresh ones fill the air...its really amazing....in this particular snap the whole of the small alley was looking at me...and when i showed him the pic from my digi cam...he just hopped in surprise...it was an awesome experience...cant forget the ambiance of the market...the smell still remains in the head...a bit unpleasant and pungent smell at that :) !!!!!
